Jennifer Jonsson, Ella Jackson, Charles Wingold, Jack Veitch, Eric Camden, Isa du Plessis and Rose Jackson

On December 17, AquaChamps Swim School and Hammerhead Aquatics competed together in the Santa Claus Meet hosted by the Pompano Piranhas.  The meet was a huge success with Santa Claus doing a fly over in a helicopter, and then actually racing some of the swimmers attending the meet!

AquaChamps and Hammerhead Aquatics’ swimmers saw their best meet to date!  Seven swimmers competed, and ALL seven finished with their best times!  What a great end to 2011!  Four of our swimmers finished in the Top Ten, their results are listed below:

Eric Camden – Took home a Bronze Medal in the 25 yeard Backstroke and placed 6th in the 25 yard Freestyle.

Jennifer Jonsson – Placed 6th in the 25 yard Breaststroke

Jack Veitch – Placed 9th in the 50 yard Breaststroke.

Isa du Plessis – Placed 10th in the 50 yard Breaststroke.

Aquachamps Swim School

Promote Your Page Too

A group class with both parent & child in the water with the instructor. This class is for children who have successfully completed either Aquatots or Baby & Me.

Ages: 6-24 months, or by ability

Time: 30 minute class

Fee: $128 for 8 classes (This is the recommended minimum # of classes for sign up.)

Goal: To have fun, wait for ‘Ready Go’ before swimming, hold onto the wall, be promoted to beginning Mudskippers.

Mudskippers – Beginning

This is the first of our small group classes without the parent in the water. This level is for children who are happy in the water and able to swim to the side unassisted & hold on the wall.

Ages: 2 years & up, or by ability

Time: 30 minute classes

Fee: $128 for 8 classes (This is the recommended minimum # of classes for sign up.)

Goal: To have fun, gain mental confidence & physical conditioning, and be promoted to Beginning Strokes for Little Folks.

Mudskippers – Advanced

This is a small group class, without parent in the water, for children who are happy in the water and swimming independently. Swimmers at this level are ready to learn independent breathing and swimming on their back.

Ages: 2 years & up, or by ability
